KDD VISITS OUAGADOUGOU FROM
14 TO 26 OCTOBER 2018
As the word is getting around more and more children are attending
the first consultation day of the mission ,on Monday October 15
over 80 families were present ,a real crowd.
During their long working hours from 8 am to often 6 pm the medical
KDD team ( anesthésistes Rob Steur and Janine Dorresteijn operation
assistent Karin Holland and orthopedic chirurgiens Jan Vermeiren and
Dick van der Schaaf ) succeeded in collaboration with the very active
local Burkina Be team interventions of 43 children.
Notwithstanding this effort a waiting list of over 10 children was left behind
but will be taken care of the next mission planned 24 February till 8 March 2019.
No students were attending this time due to their program but they should
be present during our next visit.
Early March 2019 KDD will visit Bamako s centre des handicapé and dr Kire
Almamy in order to prospect how we can contribute to the well being malien
children in need of orthopedic chirurgie.
Once again KDD thanks all players on operational side logistal assistance
and sponsors to make this all happen again and again for the benefit of these
children who are so numerous in need of medical assistance and would not
be on their feet without the generous effort they are providing.
